The Gambia, in an incredible feat, beat Nigeria, Ghana, and Liberia to win the Jollof competition at the West Africa Food Festival (WAFFEST) held in Lagos, Nigeria.

The wonderful team of incredible cooks, led by international award-winning chef Saikou Bojang, walked into the WAFFEST competition that was scheduled to sail from 9th to 14th August and strolled out as champions who divulged in indigenous recipes, artistic food displays, and preserved West African flavors in a way so deliciously unique to The Gambia it awarded them a hard-earned trophy.
