Welcome Back To My Kitchen !! And today I am super excited to share with you this recipe for Dominica Soda Bread. I had to make this about four times so I could share with you all to ensure I got the recipe perfect because everyone is so tight lipped on how to make this delicious bread. I loved this so much growing up and still love it today. To all who grew up eating this and want to know how to make it, I hope you are able to try this and feel excited as I did once I got it right.

Ingredients List:

4 cups flour
2 cups water
3/4 cup light brown sugar
2 tbsp freshly grated ginger
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp browning (or more to desired colour)
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt

Method:
In a bowl combine water, sugar, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, browning. Stir to combine and set aside.
In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir to combine gradually adding wet ingredients.
Mix well till all white from flour is gone.
Pour batter into well greased pan and bake at 220C for 1 hour
